These Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the PrivatePic mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the “Application”). This Application is a comprehensive privacy protection and device management tool that integrates a password generator, private vault, contact cleanup, and media cleanup.
By downloading, installing, or using this Application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy (available at https://phonecleandev.com/privacy/). If you do not agree to any part of these Terms or the Privacy Policy, please do not download, install, or use this Application.
1. Scope of Use
1.1 Eligibility
You must be 13 years of age or older (or the minimum legal age as required by law in your jurisdiction) to use this Application. By using this Application, you warrant and represent that you have reached the legal age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. This Application is not intended for minors, and we do not knowingly allow minors to use it.
1.2 Permitted Uses
This Application is for personal, non-commercial use only. You may only use this application to: (1) generate customizable secure passwords; (2) store notes, photos, videos, documents, diaries, and other content in your private vault; (3) clean up duplicate and incomplete contact entries; (4) scan and clean up similar images, duplicate photos, redundant screenshots, and similar videos (Media Cleanup feature); and you must comply with these Terms and all applicable local, state, national, and international laws, regulations, and guidelines.
2. User Responsibility and Conduct
2.1 Content Responsibility
You have full ownership and responsibility for all content imported, created, or stored in this application's private library (hereinafter referred to as "User Content") and all media files (photos, videos, screenshots) processed through the Media Cleanup feature. You warrant and represent that:
- You have the legal right to access, use, store, and process (including clean up or delete) User Content and media files (where applicable) without infringing on the rights of any third party, including but not limited to copyright, trademark rights, privacy rights, portrait rights, or any other intellectual property or proprietary rights.
- User content and media files processed through this application must not violate any laws, regulations, or public policies, and must not contain illegal, harmful, defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, infringing, discriminatory, or other objectionable content.
- You may not use this application to store, transmit, or distribute any content containing malware, viruses, spyware, or any other harmful code, nor may you use the media cleanup function to process files containing such harmful code.
2.2 Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use this application (including any core functions such as media cleanup, contact cleanup, or password generator) for any commercial, illegal, or unauthorized purpose.
- Copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, attempt to extract the source code of this application, or create derivative works based on this application or any part thereof, unless expressly permitted by applicable law.
- Rent, lease, sublicense, distribute, sell, transfer, or otherwise provide this application or its functions (including media cleanup, contact cleanup, private vault, or password generator) to any third party.
- Interfering with or disrupting the operation of the application, its servers, or related networks, including but not limited to sending spam, overloading the system, or using malware to prevent the proper functioning of core functions such as Media Cleanup or Contact Cleanup.
- Bypassing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with the application's security-related functions, or restricting or blocking the use or copying of any content, including tampering with the local processing mechanisms of Media Cleanup or Contact Cleanup.
- Attempting unauthorized access to the application, user accounts, or any data or systems associated with the application, or abusing the Media Cleanup function to access or process media files you are not authorized to access.
- Intentionally deleting or damaging other users' data or system files using the Media Cleanup function, or engaging in any activity that infringes on the privacy or rights of third parties.
3. Permissions and Access
3.1 Permission Requirements
As stated in our Privacy Policy, this application only requests the minimum permissions required for core functions (including media cleanup, contact cleanup, private vault, and password generator) and complies with relevant guidelines.
1) Photo Library Permission: We will only request access to your photo library when you perform media cleanup and select to import photos or videos into the vault.
2) Contact Permission: This permission is only used to delete duplicate contacts, clean up incomplete entries, and perform secure backups.
This information will not be uploaded or shared. To ensure privacy, all operations are performed locally.
3.2 Permission Management
You can manage or revoke the app's access permissions to your device at any time through your iOS device settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > PrivatePic). Revoking certain permissions may limit the functionality of specific features (for example, if photo library access is revoked, you will not be able to import photos from your photo library), but will not affect the use of other features.
4. Intellectual Property
4.1 Ownership of the Application
This application, including all text, graphics, logos, icons, software code, design elements, and other content (excluding user content), is the exclusive property of us or our licensors and is protected by worldwide intellectual property laws, including copyright, trademarks, patents, and trade secrets. All rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms are reserved by us or our licensors.
4.2 Ownership of User Content
As stated in the Privacy Policy, you retain full ownership and control over all user content. By storing user content in the application, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license solely for enabling the application.
This application is designed to function as intended (e.g., to locally store and display user content on your device). This license does not permit us to access, use, share, or distribute user content for any other purpose.
5. Data Security and Liability
5.1 Security Measures
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect the application and user content (stored on your device) from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. Please see our Privacy Policy for details. However, no electronic storage or transmission method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your device or user content.
5.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use this application. We are not liable for any loss caused by unauthorized access to your device or user content, including but not limited to loss caused by your failure to maintain device security or any access codes of the application.
We are not responsible for any errors, omissions, or technical issues in the application, or for any downtime or interruption of application functionality.
5.3 Disclaimer
This application is provided "as is" and "as available" without any express or implied warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and reliability. We do not warrant that this application is error-free, uninterrupted, or secure, nor do we warrant that any defects will be corrected.
6. Third-Party Services

7. Termination
7.1 Your Termination of These Terms
You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling this application from your device and ceasing to use it. Uninstalling this application will permanently delete all user content stored on your device; please be sure to back up all important user content before uninstalling.
7.2 Service Termination
If we determine that you have violated these Terms, applicable law, or our privacy policy, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to and use of this application at any time without notice and without liability. Upon termination, you must immediately cease using this application and uninstall it from your device.
8. Updated Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in legal requirements, iOS App Store guidelines, or application functionality. When we make significant changes to these Terms, we will notify you by posting the revised terms (and updating the effective date) on our website.
Your continued use of this application after the revised terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend that you review these Terms periodically for any changes.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of this application shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the State Courts of San Francisco County, California, or the United States Courts for the Northern District of California, and you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
11. Fees
We offer both free and paid services. By subscribing to a paid service, you agree to pay the price quoted at the time of purchase (“Fees”). We may calculate taxes payable on you based on the billing information you provide at the time of purchase. You are responsible for all associated costs of using the purchased service (e.g., data traffic fees and currency exchange fees). You will pay Fees in the currency quoted at the time of purchase. Unless otherwise required by applicable law, we reserve the right to change the applicable currency at any time. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. However, if we have set a specific period and fee for your use of the service, that fee will be valid for that period.
